| Basketball Drops Two in Savannah |
The Fighting Koalas took to the road this weekend to participate in the SCAD Invitational.
Columbia College faced Florida Memorial Friday afternoon, but came up short in a 62-74 defeat. The Koalas were back in action Saturday to play host SCAD in their final game. In the first half, the Koalas were outscored 41-15 as they shot 10 percent from the field. In a late effort the Koalas made 27-8 run, but were defeated 58-81.
The Kolas were led by Merissa Witherspoon and Lesley Gadson who scored 15 and 13 points respectively. Gadson was also named an All-Classic performer for her strong play over the weekend. |
