| Gadson Leads Koalas Past Voorhees |
The Koala faithful had plenty to cheer about as Lesley Gadson led Columbia College past visiting Voorhees College with an impressive shooting performance.
The Koalas turned in their first win of the new semester pushing their way past the visiting Voorhees College 57-44. Defense was the name of the game in the first half as the Koalas led 20-11, holding the visitors to only 4 field goals in the half. The offense heated up for both teams, but Gadson had the hot hand dropping in a season high 27 points. Gadson shot 8 for 15 from the field and 6 of 8 from three point range.
Portia Jackson and Denitra Parker each added 8 points, while Parker and Gadson tied for a team high 9 rebounds.
Columbia College is next in action against conference foe Brewton-Parker College, Thursday at 6:30 in the Godbold Center.
