| Basketball Ends December with Loss to Emmanuel |
The Fighting Koalas basketball team played their last game for the month of December, but it left them with their fourth conference loss.
The Koalas took to the road to play the Emmanuel Lady Lions on Saturday, but it was an unfortunate day as the Koalas lost 47-74. The Koalas started slow and were outscored 32-15 in the first half. Emmanuel and Columbia both shot under 30 percent from the field; however, Columbia was held to only 15 field goals for the game. Junior Lesley Gadson led the Koalas with 15 points and 15 rebounds in the defeat. Freshman guard Kiara Fefie also contributed 10 points.
The Koalas are idle this week for exams and will resume play Jan. 5 against conference foe Auburn University of Montgomery at 2:00. |
