| Tennis Falls to Converse College |
The tennis team lost 6-3 to Converse College today in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Elizabeth Barrett and Jennifer Troutman defeated Ive Jardin and Carolyn Summerell 8-4 in number one doubles, while Sarah Hall and Christine Bush lost to Tina Rohrer and Virginia Jones 8-2 and Windy Yeager and Megan Brown were overpowered by Mary Linton Smith and Taylor Ebel 8-6.
In singles matches, Christine Bush defeated Carolyn Summerell at number 3 singles 6-0, 6-2; Windy Yeager defeated Mary Linton Smith at number four 6-0, 7-5; Jennifer Troutman lost at number one to Tina Rohrer 7-5, 6-2; Sarah Hall lost to Virginia Jones at number five 6-2, 2-6, 3-6; Megan Brown lost to Taylor Ebel 6-0, 6-1.
The Fighting Koalas take on Queens University of Charlotte on Wednesday, January 12, at 3:30 pm at Columbia College. |
