| Tennis Honors One at Senior Day |
The Fighting Koalas tennis team said goodbye to its only senior, Jennifer Troutman, at their final home match of the season. Jennifer, who attended Spartanburg High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina, has played number one singles and doubles for the Fighting Koalas for four years. She earned team MVP honors as a sophomore, received the Coach's Award for her efforts during her freshman and junior seasons, and was awarded the Lucille Godbold Scholarship for athletic excellence. She was also named to this year's Southern States Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for tennis.
Head tennis coach, James Morrison, remarked, "Jennifer Troutman is an outstanding representative of Columbia College and our Athletics department. " He noted that her work ethic and dedication to success in athletics and academics set a great example for our student-athletes.
Jennifer will graduate in May 2006 with a degree in public affairs and plans to pursue a career in event planning. |
