| Koalas Tough at Home |
The Fighting Koalas’ Volleyball team went undefeated this week at home and has won every home match this season in three games.
Tuesday, the Koalas defeated Paine College 30-15, 30-25, 30-23. The Koalas were lead by Junior Lauren Bach who posted 14 kills and 6 service aces. Junior setter, Brittany Strickland, recorded a season high 41 assists. Strong performances were also given by Seniors Sara Scoggins, Ashley Watson, and Sarah McCants.
Thursday saw an even more impressive victory over visiting Morris College 30-12, 30-14, 30-23. The Koalas were led by freshman Courtney Green with 9 kills and a stellar .571 attacking percentage. Danielle Gutierrez had another solid performance as libero serving 5 aces.
Columbia moves to 3-4 on the young season and opens conference play Saturday at Brenau University.
