| Bach Leads Koalas to Four in a Row |
Lauren Bach led the way offensively with 22 kills for the Fighting Koalas as they endured a 5 game victory over North Greenville University.
The Koalas started off slow dropping the first game 27-30, but stormed back to take the next two games 30-17, 30-20. The Koalas came up short in the fourth game 30-24; however, everyone came out firing on all cylinders to take the fifth game 15-9. The win moves the Koalas winning streak to four games.
Junior Lauren Bach led the way for the Koalas all night with 22 kills with a stellar .452 hitting percentage. Freshman outside hitters Courtney Green and Chelsea Brant contributed 18 and 15 kills respectively. Brittany Strickland recorded a season high 55 assists while running a balanced offense.
The win takes the Koalas to 5-4. Columbia next hosts last year’s SSAC champions, Lee University, Saturday at 2PM.
