| Volleyball Adds Four |
Head coach, Brian Solomon, announced the addition of four players for next year’s season. Joining the fighting Koalas are Jennamarie Lesky, Erica Allman, Ashley Hasty, and Liz Richardson.
Jennamarie Lesky, a 5’7’’ libero and setter, joined the team this semester from Newberry College. Lesky played two seasons for the Lady Indians and recorded 231 digs in her freshman season. She graduated from Wando High School where she was a team captain and won the 4A lower-state championship in 2003.
Erica Allman, a 5’7’’ outside hitter, comes to Columbia College from North Myrtle Beach High School. Allman twice won All-Region honors in volleyball and basketball and was twice named Toast of the Coast Volleyball Player. She currently plays for Grand Strand Jrs.
Ashley Hasty, a 5’9’’ outside hitter, joins the Koalas from Lugoff-Elgin High School. While at LEHS, Hasty was a team captain, awarded 1st Team All-Region honors in 2006 and 2007, and Best Defensive Player in 2007. She currently plays for South Carolina Jrs.
Liz Richardson, a 5’6’’ setter, also joins the Koalas from Lugoff-Elgin High School. Richardson was a team captain and a three time 1st Team All-Region player. Richardson was also named team MVP and to the Pickens and Hillcrest Ram All-Tournament teams. She currently plays for South Carolina Jrs.
Coach Solomon said, “I am very excited to add these great student-athletes. I expect these ladies to be a great addition to our program and school. They add depth to many positions and I hope to see them compete for court time next season.” |
