| Koalas Drop to Southern Wesleyan in Five |
The Fighting Koalas continued their road trip Tuesday night and battled Southern Wesleyan, coming up short in a tough five game battle. The match was the fourth of eight road games in a row for the Koalas.
The evening was a great victory for the Susan G. Komen Foundation as Southern Wesleyan University hosted their first annual “Dig for the Cure.” Approximately $2,500 was raised last night in support of breast cancer research.
Columbia College was led offensively by Lauren Bach and Courtney Green who tallied 13 and 12 kills respectively. “It was a hard fought match in probably the loudest gym I have ever played in. We persevered through a tough hitting night and came up a little short,” said Coach Solomon.
The Koalas continue their road trip with three games this weekend against Tennessee Wesleyan College, Lee University, and Union College (Ky.). |
