Fighting Koalas Student-Athlete Blog

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College Fighting Koalas are giving their student-athletes a voice via Blogspot on Google. Senior student-athlete, Lauren Zarefoss is leading the charge as Student- Editor of the Columbia College Fighting Koalas Blog.

The goal of the blog is to give current Fighting Koala student-athletes the opportunity to comment on anything within the world of collegiate athletics. Zarefoss, a communication major here at Columbia College is excited about the opportunity to have a creative space, "It gives our student-athletes the ability to give outsiders a behind the scenes take on being a female collegiate athlete."

Sports Information Director, Katie Welsh couldn't be happier, "This blog gives the athletic department an opportunity to allow the student-athletes a safe space to express their opinions on trends within athletics. It also allows us to provide a platform for our athletes to get experience within their field."
