  • Kelly Cox Named the New Athletic Director at Columbia College

    COLUMBIA, S.C. – Kelly Cox has been appointed as the new athletic director at Columbia College by Dr. Ron White, Vice President for Enrollment Management. Cox brings to the Fighting Koalas 15 years of experience coaching track and field at the NCAA Division I and Division III levels. She will begin her new position July 1st.
  • All-Sports Banquet Highlights Student-Athletes

    The Columbia College All-Sports Banquet took place Wednesday evening. The ceremonies featured guest speaker Jud Damon, team awards, the Erma Kizer Rushton Scholarship, the Lucille Godbold Scholarship, the Laurie B. Hopkins Academic Excellence Award, and Medallion Award.

    COLUMBIA, S.C. - Columbia College Athletics will be featured on this week’s episode of Southern States Showcase, which airs on Fox Sports South network Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. (EST). The Southern States Showcase highlights member athletes, coaches, and schools from the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC). The Fighting Koalas of Columbia College will be featured in the April 6th episode as the school spotlight of the week.
  • Columbia College Joins the AAC

    COLUMBIA, S.C. - Director of Athletics Ana Oliver announced that Columbia College will join the Appalachian Athletic Conference for the 2011-12 season. This will be the final year competing in the Southern States Athletic Conference for the Fighting Koalas, who will officially leave the SSAC July 1, 2011.

    The Columbia College athletic department hosted the Special Olympics of South Carolina Saturday, April 25th. Athletes of all ages were on hand to participate in two one hour sessions along side Columbia College athletes in basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball.

    The Columbia College athletic department launched its new website August 6, 2008 in conjunction with PrestoSports. Director of athletics, Ana Oliver, and sports information director, Brian Solomon, began the design phase of the site in March, 2008.
