Director of Athletics

Ana Oliver

Ana Oliver is in her fifth year as director of athletics at Columbia College.  Oliver graduated from Columbia College in 1998, where she competed in volleyball as an outside hitter for four seasons.  In 1999, she took the helm as head volleyball coach, a position she held for three seasons before being named director of athletics in July 2002.

Get to Know Ana Oliver…

The last good book I read was:
My Losing Season by Pat Conroy

Something people might find surprising about me is:
I actually played sports.

The best piece of advice I ever received was:
“Only take advice from someone who stands to lose as much as you.”

The athlete or coach I most admire is:
Cindy Tucci, my college volleyball coach

My favorite rule to live by is:
Life’s a journey not a destination.

My dream vacation would be:
Ireland

If I could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, I would choose:
Abraham Lincoln

If I could live on one food, it would be:
Double Stuff Oreos

The best thing about working at Columbia College is:
our student-athletes
