Godbold Physical Education Center
The Godbold Center was constructed in 1971 and named after Lucille (Ludy) Godbold, a favorite physical education teacher.  Miss Ludy was an Olympic medallist in several track and field events.  The Godbold Center houses three departments:  athletics, dance and physical education and health promotion; additionally, you will find Porter Gymnasium, Greer Natatorium, the Fitness Center, and the Athletic Training Room.

Porter Gymnasium
The gym is a multi-purpose facility and the largest space of its kind on campus.  It is used for several campus events including Follies, and is often rented to outside groups.  The department of athletics installed a new Sport Court flooring system in 2004 for use by our volleyball and basketball teams.

Tennis Courts
The tennis courts were constructed in 1974 and were resurfaced in 2000.  The courts can be used by faculty, staff and students.  PEHP tennis classes are often scheduled on the courts during the day.  The courts are home to the Fighting Koalas tennis team in both the fall and spring seasons.

Greer Natatorium
The junior Olympic-sized pool is available for use by faculty, staff and students.  Outside groups can rent the pool for parties, swim team practices, swim programs, etc.  Open swim hours are posted each semester and are sent to the campus community via e-mail.  All pool reservations are made through the assistant A.D. and are subject to lifeguard availability.

Younts Soccer Stadium
The Younts Soccer Stadium was made possible by Melvin Younts, whose wife, Dolly, attended Columbia College.  Completed in 2003, the field is home to the Fighting Koalas soccer team and is also the location for Ludy Bowl.

The Fitness Center
The Fitness Center was refurbished with new, updated equipment in 2003, thanks to a generous gift from an alumna who wishes to remain anonymous.

The Athletic Training Room
The Athletic Training Room offers the following modalities:  ice, heat, ultrasound, whirlpool and stim.
