Softball Swept Over Weekend
COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College softball took on North Greenville, Faulkner, and Auburn-Montgomery in three days. The Koalas were swept through the weekend series.
Columbia hosted Division II member North Greenville before their two day conference road trip. North Greenville’s bats were too much for Columbia in a 1-9, 0-15 sweep. The Koalas’ were outhit 28-6 in the two games.
Columbia’s bats were still asleep when they took on Faulkner and Auburn-Montgomery. The Koalas’ pitching staff gave up 49 hits on the road trip, while Columbia's offense put together 13 hits. Faulkner swept the Koalas 1-7, 0-8, and Auburn-Montgomery took the series 0-11, 2-10.
Columbia (4-14, 3-11) will next take on Truett-McConnell (17-13) on March 30 at the Sutton Softball Field beginning at 3:00 pm.
