Softball Signs McGaha
COLUMBIA, S.C.- Head softball coach, James Morrison, announced the signing of 2011 recruit Cortney McGaha to the Fighting Koalas. Courtney comes to Columbia College from Belton Honea Path High School where she competed with their varsity softball team under the coaching of her father, Steve McGaha.
While at Belton Honea Path she racked up a career batting average of .343, 51 RBI's, and a .937 fielding percentage. McGaha also garnered All-Region honors in 2009 and 2010 as well as All-State honors in 2010. Courtney plans on majoring in Pre-Med and would like to eventually persue a career in orthopedic surgery. Courtney is pictured with her parents, included her coach and father Steve McGaha, sisters, and head coach James Morrison.
McGaha was also actively involved in the National Honors Society, Beta Club, Student Council, HOSA, and the Keywanettes Service Orgainzation and plans to be actively involved at Columbia College as a freshman student-athlete.
