Softball Grabs USC Transfer Grimoskas
COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College Softball program welcomes Hailey Grimoskas from USC Sumter. Grimoskas will join the Fighting Koalas softball program this August.
Gimoskas is originally from Columbia, SC and is a graduate of Airport High School in West Columbia. While at Airport Grimoskas maintained a 4.0 GPA and graduated in the top 10% of her high school class before attending college. She was honored as all-region her sophomore and senior year and was awarded Offensive Player of the Year in her last season at Airport in 2011.
While at USC Sumter she maintained a batting avg. of .327 and maintained a GPA of of 3.5 and is excited to be competing for Columbia starting in the fall. Head Coach James Morrison is excited about the addition of Grimoskas, "Hailey is a great player and will be an asset to us on and off the field."
Columbia College Softball finished their season in 4th place in the AAC, the highest finish yet for the program.
