James Morrison is entering his 16th year with Columbia College athletics. Coach Morrison returns in his 7th season as the Head Softball Coach for the Fighting Koalas. Previously, Morrison was the head tennis coach for nine seasons and assistant athletic director.
Coach Morrison graduated from The Baptist College at Charleston (Charleston Southern '86) where he competed in baseball and tennis. He graduated with an emphasis in computer information systems and marketing and a minor in economics. Prior to his stay at Columbia College, Morrison was the head tennis pro at the Woodlands Country Club in Northeast Columbia for five years.
In addition to coaching softball, Coach Morrison currently serves as the assistant athletic director for Columbia College. James, his wife Sherry, and two sons J.R.-17 and Trevor Lee-6, reside in Columbia.
