Basketball Releases 08-09 Schedule

The Fighting Koalas' basketball team announced its game schedule for the upcoming 2008-09 season.  This year's new look team will run a gauntlet of twenty conference games and twenty-seven games overall. 

The Koalas will start on the road with a scrimmage against Clinton Community College on October 25, followed by road games at Voorhees College, Allen University, and North Greenville University.  The Koalas will turn around and play Allen University for the second time in eight days for their home opener November 12 at 7PM.  It will be the Koalas' only home game until December.

The team will finally be home from December 1 until January 10 as they play a five game home stand with four of the games being in the Southern States Athletic Conference.  The regular season will end with home games against conference foes Brewton-Parker College and Southern Polytechnic State University on February 26, 28.  First year head coach, Stephen Burns, is excited about the challenges and opportunity at hand.  The Koalas return four players from last year's team and welcome seven newcomers who will look to make a mark in the tough SSAC. 1
