Emmie Bland Leads Koalas in Defeat

Sophomore Emmie Bland recorded a double double against Brewton-Parker, but the Koalas were defeated 91-54.

Bland had 17 points and a season high 22 rebounds Thursday night.  She scored on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 3-of-6 from the free throw line.  Laporcha Williams and Kiara Fefie added 14 and 10 points respectively.  Columbia struggled in the first half to find an offensive rhythm, in large part to 26 steals by Brewton-Parker.  The Koalas' offense was slow to start the second half as well, until they closed the game with 35 points in the final 9 minutes. 

Columbia College concludes their season Saturday, February 28, when they host Southern Polytechnic State University at 2:00 pm.
