Williams’ 25 Not Enough

Sophomore LaPorcha Williams scored 25 points against Shorter College, but the Koalas were defeated 83-68. 

Williams' 25 points led both teams in scoring on 9-of-19 shooting from the field.  Fellow sophomore Kiara Fefie also scored 19 points along with grabbing 7 rebounds.  Shorter's balanced scoring was too much for Columbia; the Lady Hawks finished with four players in double figures.  Shorter College holds on to third place in the SSAC with a 12-5 conference mark.  The loss sets back Columbia to 2-21 on the season.  The Koalas will finish their road trip against Berry College Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 pm.
