Junior point guard, Kiara Fefie, had the best game of her career Thursday night. She led Columbia in scoring with 21 points and for the first time this season on the glass with 9 rebounds. However, after the final horn sounded, visiting Auburn-Montgomery outscored Columbia 70-49.
Fefie's scoring came on an impressive shooting night, making 9-of-13 from the field and 2-of-2 from the 3-point line. However, the game was plagued with turnovers from both teams. The first half saw a combined 42 turnovers between Columbia and Auburn-Montgomery. Kala Smith was the leading scorer for Auburn with 14 points.
The Koalas will make their yearly trip to Rome, GA next weekend to challenge Berry and Shorter on January 21 & 23.
