Basketball Struggles in Second Half
COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College Fighting Koalas played their last home game before the holiday break today against the Lady Tigers of Voorhees of College. Columbia led going into the half 28-27 but Voorhees took control and defeated the Fighting Koalas 57-46 at the end of regulation.
Columbia now 4-8 overall looked to build upon their impressive performance against AAC opponent Bryan College this past week as they posted 78 points in a heartbreaking 1 point loss to the Lady Lyons. Columbia's leading scorer was freshman forward, Taylor Smith with 13 points on the night.
Head Coach Maria Audas commented, "We are building a program and need to maintain our consistency. I'm proud of the effort our team gave this afternoon."
