Koalas Ranked #1 in NAIA Div. II Basketball

The Koalas have proven that they are headed in the right direction and their hard work in the off season is starting to pay off. As it stands today the Koalas are ranked #1 in 3-pt field goal percentage for NAIA Division II Basketball. After 6 games the team is averaging 47% from deep.

Leading the way for the Koalas is Junior Jenesai Mohammed and Senior Amber Sherrill. Mohammed is ranked #3 overall with a shooting average of 57%. Sherrill is ranked #2 overall and is shooting an average of 58%. 

Also for the Koalas is Sophomore Denijah Johnson, who is ranked #10 for offensive rebounds per game (4.5 r/pg).

With an overall record of 3-3 the Koalas still have a long road to travel in order to be a contender for the conference title. If they can continue to play at this high lev there is no limit to how far this team will go.

The next step on that journey is tonight, as the Koalas face the Reinhardt Eagles at home beginning at 5:30pm.
