On Monday, March 7th, the Columbia College Women's Golf Team traveled to Coosaw Creek Golf Course, in North Charleston, SC, to play host to Thomas More College from Crestview Hills, Kentucky in a dual match.  The Koalas were successful in defeating the Saints from Thomas More to win the dual match.  This made history for the Women's Golf Program for Columbia College, as this was the first official team victory for the program now in its 4th year as a varsity sport.  Columbia is a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference in the NAIA.  Thomas More is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference in the NCAA DIII.

Leading the way for the Koalas in the match was Samantha Melton, a first year from Pageland, SC, with an 86 for the lowest round of the match.  Following Samantha was Ashley K. Rogers, a first year from Lake View, SC, Breanna Spaulding, a senior from McDonough, GA and Elizabeth Hendrix, a junior from Columbia, SC.

The Koalas travel to Coker College for their next tournament on March 13th-15th.  The tournament will be held at Hartsville Country Club in Hartsville, SC.  Go Koalas!
