Soccer Releases 2008 Schedule

Columbia College has released the 2008 soccer schedule.  The Fighting Koalas will play seventeen games, six that will played at the Younts Soccer Stadium.

The Fighting Koalas will begin the season with one scrimmage against nearby Limestone College before starting the season at Brevard College on Friday, August 29.   When palying at home, fans will be treated to additions made to Younts Soccer Stadium.  This year Younts Soccer Stadium will feature new bleachers, a pressbox, and a scoreboard when the team kicks off their first home game.  The first home game will open conference play as the Koalas take on Reinhardt College on Sunday, August 31 at 3:00 PM.

September will feature the Koalas at home for four of their eight games.  They will host Reinhardt College, Brewton Parker College, Shorter College, and Georgia Southwestern State.  The soccer team will have to take to the road in October as they play only two home games against conference members Brenau University Thursday, October 9, and Berry College Saturday, October 11.
