Soccer Ties on Senior Day

Columbia College took the field for the final game of the season and honored the lone senior, Cordy Francis, as she competed for the final time with Columbia College soccer.  The Koalas ended in a 3-3 tie with Mountain State University.

The Fighting Koalas played aggressive and controlled from the beginning.  Fittingly, on senior day, the first goal came from Cordy Francis, assisted by Skylarh Thorne, to give the Koalas a 1-0 advantage.  Sophomore Ashley Eckler recorded her second career goal on a break away from midfield, assisted by Cordy Francis.

The Koalas took a 2-1 advantage into the half and recorded their third goal on another break away by Haley Williams assisted from goal keeper Tiffani Folles.  It was the second time this season Folles and Williams connected on a goal for the Koalas.

The Koalas battled through two overtimes to draw out the 3-3 tie.  Tiffani Folles recorded three saves in a row in the first overtime to keep the Koalas in the fight.
