Chelsea Whiteman Signs to Compete with Columbia College

Chelsea Whiteman signed a letter of intent to join the Fighting Koalas soccer team in the fall of 2009.

Whiteman is from Charleston, SC.  She was a three year starter for West Ashley High School and a team captain her senior year.  Chelsea also played for Charleston United Soccer Club.  Daughter of Jim and Mae Whiteman, Chelsea plans on majoring in Spanish at Columbia College.

Coach Kiper said, "Chelsea is a great addition to our defense.  She is a very strong athlete who should have a great impact in our program."  Whiteman joins high school teammate Heather Moore in next year's recruiting class.
