Golf Adds Christina Hall for 2013
COLUMBIA, S.C. - Christina Hall is the newest addition to the Columbia College Golf recruiting class for the Class of 2012. Christina comes to Columbia from Crown Point, IN, where she attended Crown Point High School.
She has been playing golf since the age of 7, and was a four year member of the Crown Point High School golf team. In both the 2010-2011, and 2011-2012 years, she was a vital member of the squad that recorded 1st place Sectional finishes.
In addition to golf, Christina is extremely active within her school and community. She has been a mentor in CASS (Creating a Safe School) for the last three years, a program that focuses on putting an end to bullying in schools. Due to her participation with the program, she was honored this year by the Crown Point Rotary Club. She also student teaches at a local elementary school, as well as being a marine biology club. Christina is constantly around the game outside of school as well, as she is an employee at the Lakes of the Four Seasons Country Club.
Christina said about becoming a Fighting Koala, “I am so excited about the opportunities, both athletically and academically, that Columbia College has presented me with. Not only will I be able to continue to play golf competitively, but I will be receiving an excellent education in Elementary Education.”
Coach Kiper is also excited about Christina’s decision, stating, “I know that Christina loves the idea of being in the South, and we are excited that she has decided to join the program here at Columbia College. She is very focused on getting both a quality education and athletic experience, and we certainly feel as if she will be a vital part of our program and the success we will experience.”
