Chris Fresco is in his fourth season as an assistant soccer coach for Columbia College. Fresco joined the coaching staff under Joshua Kiper in 2011 and has been instrumental in each of the program's seasons since then. His responsibilities include day-to-day activities, training sessions, game day operations, recruiting, scouting, travel and lodging arrangements, and summer camp directing. In addition to coaching at Columbia College, he is currently the Academy Director of Coaching for Liverpool FCA - South Carolina and the head coach for boys soccer at Gilbert High School, SC. Prior to joining the Fighting Koalas coaching staff, he spent time as a club coach in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area between 2007-2011. Fresco is originally from Seattle, WA where his playing career consists of Seattle Wolves FC PDL, the University of Washington, Kamiak High School, and various youth clubs in Washington state. He also coached a number of youth soccer programs in the Seattle area. Fresco graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Geography and from Western Kentucky University with an M.S. in Recreation and Sport Administration. Fresco completed the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, NSCAA National Diploma, and several other USSF and NSCAA licenses. He resides in Columbia with his wife, Dr. Amber Fresco.
