Four swimmers receive All-American awards

Norfolk, V.A. - The College Swimming Coaches Association of American (CSCAA), the oldest coaches' administration in the United States, announced NAIA All-Americans based on their placements following the National Championship Meet. Four Columbia College swimmers were honored.

Cydney Donnelly (SR/Columbia, SC) and Megan Monahan (SR/Cincinnati, OH) were named First Team All-Americans, while Da'Nelle Williams (JR/Picayune, MS) and Cassie Adams (SO/Gastonia, NC) were Honorable Mention All-Americans.

Donnelly and Monahan were both named First Team All-American in the 100 and 200 Backstroke. Monahan was 3rd Place and Donnelly 7th in the 100 Backstroke. Monahan was 2nd and Donnelly 5th in the 200 Backstroke. 

Williams and Adams were named Honorable Mentions for the 400 Medley Relay in which both Donnelly and Monahan swam at Nationals. The relay placed 6th overall.

"It's great for these women to get this recognition by the College Coaches Association of America." Coach Gallaher commented, " They put a lot of effort into the season, and it showed throughout the year and especially at our National Championship."
