COLUMBIA, S.C.- The Columbia College women's Tennis team won today in their SSAC conference opener against Emmanuel College, 6-3. The Fighting Koalas are coming off an impressive win against Peace College and took charge winning two out of the three doubles matches on the day.

RALEIGH, N.C.- Columbia College Tennis team traveled to Peace College battled for their first win of the 2010-2011 season. With a dominate perfomance from the top two doubles teams the Fighting Koalas won over the Peace Pacers 8-1.
Tennis Finishes Fall Matches for Breast Cancer

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College tennis team ended their fall matches with their Breast Cancer awareness match against Converse College at home on October 8, 2010. Although the Fighting Koalas tennis team ends their fall matches at 0-2 their efforts off the court are worth being proud of.

Newberry Outlasts Columbia Tennis

NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Columbia College tennis team lost a close match to Newberry College 5-4. Freshmenn Danielle Cupid, Keneisha Whittington, and sophomore Abbagayle Stevenson won in singles. It was the first singles win for Cupid, who was added to Columbias roster this spring.
Megan Brown 09 Receives Red Cross/NAIA Scholarship

COLUMBIA, S.C.: Student-athlete Megan Brown, a senior, was presented with a $2,000 scholarship recognizing her participation in the American Red Cross (ARC)/National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Youth Leadership Program and her dedication to the Red Cross mission of saving lives. In addition to completing the Youth Leadership Program, Megan has organized three successful campus blood drives.

Tennis Tops Converse to Begin Season

The Columbia College tennis team traveled to Converse College to begin the season on Saturday and came away with a 5-4 victory.

The 2008-09 tennis team returns seven players from last years squad that finished 11-9 last season. Heading the returning class is senior Breatriz Ospina who helped push the Koalas into the win column. In twenty regular season matches, Ospina dropped only two singles matches while playing as the number one seed all season.

Lindsey Hughes announced the signing of four players as she enters her first season as the head tennis coach at Columbia College. Nicole Hill, Brittany Collins, Abbagayle Stevenson, and Candace Matthews will join the Fighting Koalas for the 2008-09 season.

Director of Athletics, Ana Oliver, announced the hiring of Lindsey Hughes as the new head tennis coach for Columbia College. Hughes comes to Columbia College from Piedmont College in Demorest, GA.
