08-09 Tennis Outlook

The 2008-09 tennis team returns seven players from last year's squad that finished 11-9 last season.  Heading the returning class is senior Breatriz Ospina who helped push the Koalas into the win column.  In twenty regular season matches, Ospina dropped only two singles matches while playing as the number one seed all season.

The Koalas look to continue their improvement with first year head coach Lindsey Hughes.  They will look to improve on their conference record of 2-5 last year as they play in the nationally competitive Southern States Athletic Conference.  The SSAC finished last season with four teams ranked in the top twenty nationally, including the number one seed and National Champion Auburn University-Montgomery.
