Raven Fair Recieves AAC POW Honors

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Raven Fair of Columbia (S.C.) is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the first honor for Fair this season. Fair helped the Koalas to a 1-1 record last week, including a 7-2 win over Bluefield (Va.) in conference play. Columbia is 4-5 overall and 1-1 in AAC action.

The sophomore from Aiken, S.C., won both of her singles matches as she played the No. 1 position. Against Nebraska Wesleyan, she recorded a 6-4, 6-2 decision in the 7-2 defeat, while scoring a 6-3, 6-0 win in the victory over Bluefield.Fair is 4-3 in singles play this season.

Head Coach Lindsey Hughes was excited upon hearing the news, "I am so proud of Raven and how hard she has worked this season to achieve her goals. Reven represents Columbia College tennis well and works hard on and off the court."
