Tennis Opens Conference Against Reinhardt
COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College tennis team faces off against AAC member institution Reinhardt today at 11:00 a.m. Columbia currently sits at 2-5 overall with only 1 loss in conference play to SCAD Atlanta.
Coming off a heartbreaking loss of 5-4 to Hollins College yesterday afternoon. The tennis program new additions: Erin Green, Rachel Lovaas, and Ashley Latham have made an immediate impact on the court for Columbia. Returners, Mara Reiss and Danielle Cupid have helped in both doubles so far in the year.
Ahead for Columbia is: Reinhardt, Milligan, and Tennessee Wesleyan. A win today against the Lady Eagles would push the Fighting Koalas to .500 in conference play. When asked about today's match, Head Coach Mark Hancock said, "The team is ready and has worked hard. They are hungry to prove themselves."
