Aarika Munro Comes to Columbia College

Head volleyball coach, Brian Solomon, announced the signing of Aarika Munro-Steingraeber to next year's volleyball team.  Aarika comes to Columbia College from Brea Olinda High School in Brea, CA.

Aarika was an outside hitter for Brea Olinda as well as Saddleback Volleyball Club, located in Lake Forest, CA.  Munro competed on varsity at Brea Olinda for three seasons and was named Second Team All Century League in 2008.  She also received the Varsity Captain's Award in 2007, Varsity Coach's Award in 2006, and was a Scholar Athlete in 2007 and 2008.  Coach Solomon said, "Aarika is a really fun person and I am excited about adding her to our program.  She is a strong player and she can't wait for the season to get here." 

Aarika said, "I am really excited about the new adventure and the opportunity to play in college." 

Columbia College will play a challenging schedule next season, including two Division I matches.  The excitement will start August 11 when the team arrives for preseason.
