Volleyball Drops to Reinhardt

The Columbia College volleyball team could not recover from a slow start Friday night and dropped to Reinhardt College in four sets 22-25, 15-25, 25-20, 21-25.

The visiting Lady Eagles out hit the Koalas on the match and took advantage of a slow start by the home team to jump up two sets to none.  After a short intermission the Koalas came out refocused and took the third set 25-20.  However, the consistent hitting by Reinhardt carried them through for a four set defeat of Columbia College.  For the Koalas, senior Lauren Bach led the way wit 15 kills, all coming after the first set.  Reinhardt was led by freshman Kristen Cook who recorded 17 kills.

Columbia College is next in action as they travel to Southern Wesleyan on Tuesday, September 15 at 7pm.
