Prater Named SSAC Player of the Week
Tara Prater was named the Southern State Athletic Conference player of the week.
Prater, a freshman outside hitter from San Dimas, CA, averaged 5 kills per set in two conference wins over Southern Wesleyan University and Brewton Parker College. She had a .415 hitting percentage and added 6 aces and 14 digs on the week.
Prater is the first Columbia College athlete this season to be honored on the conference level for outstanding performance. She has helped the Koalas to their best start since joining the SSAC with a record of 12-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
