Volleyball Gets One More at Home

The Columbia College volleyball team picked up its final conference win by sweeping the season series against SSAC rival Southern Wesleyan University.  The Fighting Koalas overcame a sluggish start to win the match 3-1 (18-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-15).

Columbia was led offensively by freshman Aarika Munro who totaled 17 kills along with 15 from Nikki Golston.  Taylor Sellers also stepped in offensively in the middle, notching 7 kills on 15 attacks to hit .467.  Sophomore Erica Allman held down the defense with a team high 27 digs.

The win moves Columbia (24-7,8-4) to their best finish in the Southern States Athletic Conference guaranteeing them the 3rd seed at the conference tournament.  Columbia plays their final regular season contest at Brevard College Saturday, November 7th, at 2pm.
