Volleyball Ends Against Faulkner
The Columbia College volleyball season came to an end in the SSAC tournament when they were defeated in five sets by Faulkner University, 25-21, 26-24, 25-27, 24-26, 13-15.
Sophomore Jennifer Monroe had a stellar hitting match with 16 kills and a .394 hitting percentage. Tara Prater led the team in kills with 21. However, the lack of a block proved deadly for Columbia as Faulkner went on the hit .60 points better on the match.
Coach Brian Solomon said, "We had a great season this year. We just looked a little nervous tonight and Faulkner took advantage. I am excited about the prospect of returning everyone next season." The season ends for the Koalas at a record best 24-9, 8-4, good for a third place finish in the Southern States Athletic Conference.
