Columbia Volleyball Sweeps Montreat
COLUMBIA, S.C. -The Fighting Koala volleyball team swept the Lady Cavaliers of Montreat College this past Saturday in three straight sets: 25-17, 25-21, and 25-19. The win pushes Columbia to an overall record of 12-6 and a conference record of 5-4.
Columbia College hit .234 as a team with Junior, Cassaundra Rogers leading the Fighting Koala offense with 7 kills on 12 attempts from the right side. Defensively sophmore, Chloe Perkins tallied 17 digs on the match and setter Jacqui Anderson tallied 31 assists.
Head Coach Katie Welsh commented on the recent win, "The win against Montreat was a solid team win. Going into the last stretch of the season, I believe our team is finally peaking at the right time."
Columbia hits the road next weekend to face Tennessee Wesleyan and Bryan College.
