ATHENS, TN – Columbia College Volleyball (0-11; 0-6 AAC) came short on the road to the Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs (5-11; 1-5 AAC) Friday, September 22nd.

Columbia College Volleyball fell in an away game loss to AAC opponent Tennessee Wesleyan University. Columbia had a slow start, dropping the first set (25-14) to the Bulldogs as TWU took 13 kills in the opening. Columbia wouldn't give up so easily and took the oppurtunity to capitalize on the Bulldogs' 9 errors snatching the second set victory (27-25).
A fierce third set battle began. Both teams deadlocked 23-24 in attempted attacks but TWU's hits came with a few less errors and they were able to sneak past the Koalas for a (25-20) set win. Down but not yet defeated, Columbia began the fourth set on a high note but the Bulldogs attacking line was relentless bringing down 14 kills to clinch the set victory (25-17) and the game win (3-1).
Columbia's defensive line fought hard and just barely came up short with 41 digs to TWU's 50 but the continual onslaught by the Bulldog hitters took the game. The Koalas did well to capitalize on the 21 attack erros and 14 service erros posted by Tennessee Wesleyan.
Columbia heads away Saturday, September 23nd to play Bryan College at 11:00am EST.
