Keyaira Stevenson enters her first season as the head coach for the Koalas Volleyball program. Stevenson grew up in the Columbia area and graduated from Ridge View High School. While there, she was a starter as a freshman on the volleyball team at Ridge View and lettered her freshman through senior year. During her freshman year at RVHS, history was made in 2008 when the volleyball team made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs.

Keyaira was recruited and played at Kennesaw State University, in Kennesaw Georgia where she received a full scholarship to play volleyball.  She was an outside hitter at Kennesaw for three years and she had a total of 631 career kills. She recently graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelors of Science in Sociology. With over 8 years of playing experience before becoming a part of the volleyball program at Columbia College Stevenson, brings with her a vast amount of knowledge to expand and bring success to the Koala volleyball program.

 As a former player at Kennesaw State University, Stevenson accumulated the following awards:


First true freshman to get a double-double at Kennesaw State      University for the 1st game of the season


Won first Volleyball tournament in Kennesaw history at Mississippi State University

Won the first Owl Invitational Tournament

Named MVP for the Owl Invitational Tournament


Won Owl Invitational Tournament for the second year in a row

Received career high of 22 kills against Arkansas State

Total Career Kills: 631

Stevenson has coached volleyball at the high school and the club level for over 3 years. She spent her coaching career as an Assistant coach for Kennesaw Mountain High School Varsity team and as a Head Coach for the A5 Volleyball Club, which is the second best volleyball club in the nation. Stevenson has coached with the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs Varsity team for 2 years. While at Kennesaw Mountain, the team had success being over .500 on the season and making it to the first round of playoffs both seasons. She also coached with A5’s, 12-3 team and worked with the club for 2 years. While at A5, her teams have won multiple tournaments and successfully continued their volleyball careers at A5.
