Bio

Marci McLeod, MS, LAT, ATC, is entering her first year as the Head Athletic Trainer at Columbia College. She is covering golf, cross country, track & field, and men's lacrosse.

She is also an Outreach Athletic Trainer at PrismaHealth and was previously the assistant athletic trainer at Benedict College in Columbia.

Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Marci's path to Sports Medicine began at Florida State University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Psychology. She gained valuable experience through clinical rotations with FSU Football, Cross-Country/Track & Field, Swimming & Diving, Softball and Volleyball. She also spent a semester with the Tallahassee Community College Baseball, Softball and Basketball teams.

She then moved on to receive a Master's Degree in Health, Exercise and Sports Science at The Citadel while serving on their Sports Medicine staff. After graduation, she stayed in Charleston to serve as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Stratford High School (2015 Football State Runner-Ups) before making her way over to Columbia, SC.

Residing in downtown Columbia, Marci enjoys weekend camping trips to the Upstate, cycling at Ft. Jackson, and river floats down the Saluda.
