Three Koalas Earn AAC Post-Season Tennis Accolades

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- On Thursday afternoon, the Appalachian Athletic Conference announced its post-season award winners for Men's and Women's Tennis. Three Koalas were recognized for their effort on the court and in the classroom.

Freshman Waldo Bosch (Centurion South Africa / Zwartkop high school) was named to the All-AAC second and All-Freshman teams. In addition, fellow teammate Owen Brumfield (Graniteville, South Carolina / South Aiken high school) earned a nod on the 2023 Men's Tennis Champions of Character Team.

Junior Mariane Lima (Minas Gervais, Brazil / Doan University) racked up an All-Academic AAC, and Champions of Character Team honor on the women's side.

Tennessee Wesleyan nearly swept all of the major awards, taking the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards on both sides; they also claimed the male Freshman of the Year honor.
