The Bulldogs then made a comeback trimming the Koalas lead all the way down to five at 89-84 at the :48 second mark to finish off a 15-6 run. However, CC would not be deterred and held on for the big win.
CC shot nearly 58% overall from the floor and 35.5% from three while knocking down 23 of 30 free throws and out-rebounding TWU 36-31.
The victory catapulted the Koalas into a 5th place tie in the conference at 10-9 and the 5th seed in next week's conference tournament when the AAC brackets were released on Sunday evening. The #5 Koalas, now 13-15 overall, will face #4 seed Union on Thursday morning in the AAC tournament that takes place from Feb. 25-28 in Kingsport, TN.
