Men's Soccer Picked to Finish 11th in AAC Preseason

WALESKA, Ga. - Milligan is favored to win the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer championship, according to the AAC Coaches' Preseason Poll released on Monday. The poll was voted on by the men's soccer coaches of the AAC.

Milligan received all 13 first-place votes for 182 total points. Milligan won both the regular-season and tournament championships last season on its way to finishing as the NAIA National Championship runner-up.

Union (167 points) is picked to finish second with Tennessee Wesleyan (153 points), Columbia International (133 points), and St. Andrews (118 points) rounding out the top five.

The Columbia men's team was picked to finish 11th (with 44 points) out of the 14 team league as they are coming off a 3-10 conference season but were 7-11 overall. They are led this season by first year coach Logan Koon. They return leading scorers Jakeem Amuda and Dan Stryffler who each scored 9 goals apiece last season.

Eight teams will advance to the AAC Tournament which begins on Nov. 1 with the championship match currently set for Nov. 9.
