PINEVILLE, N.C. - The Columbia College men's soccer team remained unbeaten on the season as they played USCAA foe Johnson & Wales to a scoreless draw on the road Saturday afternoon at the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex outside of Charlotte.
JWU contolled the first half against the Koalas outshooting CC 4-0, but sophomore goalkeeper Brayden Garcia kept Columbia in the game. The second half saw CC get five shots off, but just one on goal from senior Dan Stryffeler in the 61st minute that was saved by the JWU keeper.
The Wildcats managed to get 10 shots off in the second half, but only two on goal. Garcia finished with 2 saves while holding off a JWU corner kick in the final few seconds of play to get the draw.
Columbia goes to 1-0-2 on the season while JWU is 0-1-1. The Koalas will next return home on Tuesday evening to host Spartanburg Methodist at 7 pm.
