Men's Soccer Falls 4-1 at Bryan

DAYTON, TN - The Columbia College men's soccer team suffered a 4-1 loss at conference foe Bryan College (TN) on Saturday afternoon in central Tennessee.

Bryan got on the board first scoring in the 8th minute of action before adding another 20 minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into the break. However, the Koalas took an impressive 15-4 shot count advantage into halftime. 

The Lions then outshot CC 10-7 in the second half while outscoring them 2-1. Bryan scored their third goal five minutes into the second half before adding their fourth in the 62nd minute. The Koalas then got on the board a minute later on a goal from sophomore forward Aedan Bowers in the 64th minute. Columbia did outshoot the Lions 22-14 overall led by four shots each from senior midfielder Dan Stryffeler and freshman defender Andrew Wilson.

The Koalas' senior goalkeeper Nathan Huff made 2 saves on six shots on goal. Columbia falls to 2-8-2 overall and 1-7 in the conference while Bryan, one of the top teams in the conference, improves to 7-1-1 in the AAC and 7-5 overall.

The Koalas will next return to action Sunday when they head down the road in Tennessee to battle TN Wesleyan in a 1:00 pm makeup game. They will then return home on Wednesday evening at 7:00 to face St. Andrews University.
