Reinsel Makes History for Columbia Indoor Track & Field
BROOKINGS, SD- Sophomore Rhyan Reinsel (Chapin, SC) made more history for Columbia College at the 2023 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships by becoming the first male in school history to qualify for the meet.
The sprinter from Chapin qualified for the national meet in the 400m race after a third-place finish at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) indoor championships with a time of 50.88.
Reinsels season, unfortunately, came to an end in the prelims with a top-25 finish and a time of 49.48.
The sophomore will now look to build on an already impressive year during the outdoor season. Koalas will kick off the 2023 campaign on March 16 at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, SC.
