Racic and Timmerman Place 34th at Cali Marathon
SACRAMENTO, CA - Two members of the Columbia College men's cross country team competed in the California International Marathon in Sacramento on Sunday morning.
Seniors Dorde Racic and Patrick Timmerman came away with a quality result as they finished in a tie for 34th place in the NAIA division with a time of 2 hours, 46 minutes and 34 seconds. They each ran at a mile pace of 6:21.
Overall, among the over 8,000 marathon participants, the duo finished inside the top 500 placing 477th overall. Then, in their 20-24 yr. old age group, the teammates placed inside the top 60 of their division.
